Alvida is known as "Iron Mace" Alvida due to her wielding a heavy and spiked Iron Mace and hit any of her crew mates who doesn't obey her orders. Originally Alvida was a tall and very obese woman who would say "who's the most beatiful of the west blue sea" and her crew mates would say she was, In fear that they would get killed by her mace. She was also the first antagonist encountered and defeated by Luffy on his journey. However after founding and eaten the Smooth-Smooth Fruit, Alvida appearance change that into a attractive women. Alvida is also remembered to be the only female character to have color nail on her hands and feet.
