Hanasaku Iroha: Satsuki Matsumae

Ohana's mother and Ayato's wife. She is an novelist and journalist who soon enough ran away with her boyfriend to evade his debt and she left Ohana in the care of her Sui Shijima (Satsuki's mother), who claimed to have disowned her own daughter and then neglected Ohana as a child and raised her with the mentality of "relying only on yourself". She has a big sister personality towards her daughter despite her lack of motherly skills. This is only on Episode 13.
