One of the worst things about the Pokémon anime is, that most of its main characters have off-screen character development. It would have been so much better, if Iris grew as a character during the Best Wishes-series, not after it ended.
Out of the main girls, my favorites are Misty, Jessie, Dawn, Iris and Lana. May, Lillie, Mallow are okay, and I couldn't care less about Bonnie and Serena.
