This is where Merle saved Popp from getting killed by Zaboera with a cursed toxic dragger during the fight against his forces. Popp himself stated that he wasn't worthy to be one of the five Avan's Disciples as he failed to realize his cowardice, which caused the Purification Spell, Kaglimmer, to be not powerful enough to weaken the barrier around Vearn's Palace.
