One Piece: Yamato (Episode 1024)
This is where she and Shinobu were protecting Mononosuke from the Beast Pirates as they were ordered to kill him in order to end of Kozuki Clan bloodline for good.
It's really just a similar case to Yukimura from Haganai. There's much more of an impetus behind it, she's not actually trying to identify as a "man" for the sake of it, she's trying to emulate the late, legendary samurai Oden, someone whom she deeply admired(possibly fallen for), by assuming even his very own personality. Could very well also be a form of unrequited love, that only intensified in the most extreme sense posthumously, where instead you become the person you liked since they're no linger alive to confess to. TL;DR Really she's quite literally a chuuni LARPer.

DeleteShe's FEMALE and Oda has stated she's female. Bad faith actors on the internet try to erase the fact that TOMBOYS actually exist.
