Voltron: Legendary Defender: Katie Holt

Pidge Gunderson, whose real name is Katie Holt, is the current Green Paladin who pilots the Green Lion of Voltron. She previously was a Comm Spec (Communications Specialist) cadet at the Galaxy Garrison, disguising herself as a boy to avoid the discovery of her true identity who had been banned for hacking into Garrison computers. After Lance and Hunk tail Pidge to the roof of the Garrison after hours, she witnesses Shiro's crash-landing on Earth a year after the purported Kerberos Mission's disaster. She joins the cadets in rescuing Shiro from the Garrison military alongside Keith, and investigates why aliens are coming to Earth. Her assistance in discovering the Blue Lion triggers the events leading to the return of Voltron, beginning Pidge's new life as a Paladin fighting the Galra Empire.

    1. Funny you say that, because in the original Voltron, she was actually a boy.

  3. I was so mad that they made my favorite character a female, I was blaming feminism and forced diversity over it, but then realized that may not be the case.

I need to get over it because I've been wanting to get back into it after hearing how great its been doing.

    1. I do believe it is forced diversity as none of the other remakes of Voltron changed him.

    2. Is it honestly THAT big of a deal? Its not like the originals from the 80s had much personality beyond cliche number "x"

  4. Still prefer the original Voltron, heard this one is good. Though too many changes for my taste. Hopefully Netflix won't do the same to Saint Seiya. Already saw the previews for their Devilman work and they changed it a bit too much too.

    1. O_O They are bringing Saint Seiya to Netflix. That is awesome. This was one of the series that got me into Anime. I could never find a good English versions of the Original arcs as a kid. The closest I got was French subtitles. This might be a good a good way to watch the original arcs.

    2. Well it's a remake XD, so I'm not sure how it will play out. Hopefully it will be a faithful adaptation. I believe Devilman is but the art is greatly different.
