This is during the Wallace Cup where May was competing against Zoey and Dawn for the Aqua Ribbon. In Episodes 25 (Staging a Heroes' Welcome) to 27 (Strategy with a Smile).
She's got a lot of guts dressing like that. I don't really like that style of sandals where you keep the big toe in one strap thingy.
