DeleteThough, not saying much for any isekai MC, Makato, especially, just came off as such a blatant awkward, spergoid loser power-fantasy. His boring personality, while being so obnoxiously op just made him more insufferable to me. At least The Eminence in Shadow put a more interesting spin on those tropes, which made Cid more interesting and self-aware as an op isekai MC.
