Rumiko Takahashi Heroines Fanart: Sakura Mamiya and Kagome Higurashi

Today, I'd like to share with everyone another great fanart image made by Kacique. It's an improbable (but not impossible) image of Sakura and Kagome, the lead heroines of Rin-ne and Inuyasha respectively. They're seen visiting the characters of Ranma ½ (another classic Rumiko franchise) at the Tendo dojo, and of course showing off their awesome bare feet. They act as great foils to the lead male characters in their respective series, and I'm so privileged to share them with you all. Please comment below, and be sure to look out for possible future posts with Kagome and Sakura. Thanks for visiting.

  1. I do love Kagone showing off her bare feet. I'm not familiar with Sakura.

    1. Sakura Mamiya, main heroine from Kyoukai No Rinne, actually managed to backup a clip of her from before my laptop got borked.
It's basically a poor man's Bleach. And not figuratively but literally cause Rinne Rokudo, the shinigami, is a total poorfag, like holy shit.

    2. I don't really see Rinne as similar to Bleach beside what you said. To me, Rinne looks like Ranma and Inuyasha combined.

    3. Thanks for your support, Guys. And without her braids, Sakura kind of resembles Akane IMO.

    4. @Dan: Like Sakura got a similar long hairstyle of Akane without those braids?

    5. He does, although I'd say there's more similarities to Inuyasha than Ranma; I think with her hair down Sakura looks more like Kagome, quite frankly a deadpan Kagome. later there's one guy who resembles Miroku and even two girls who are both dead-ringers for Abi and Sango. Rumik always recycles like that.
Just the premise is similar to Bleach since there are Shinigami and even it's own variation of a Soul Society, called Kyoukai, only very economical focused like something straight out of the Japanese bubble era. Think more Ghost Sweeper Mikami meets Bleach.

    6. @Custom: No, her short one. At least with Rumiko's manga drawings.

    7. @Benny: I wouldn't call Sakura deadpan, just incredibly laid-back. But I really like that about her, a nice even tempered female lead who doesn't resort to violence or jealous rage. Akane and Kagome can definitely take some lessons from her.

    8. @Dean: Thanks Dean. I know you probably meant to type excellent, thanks again for another typo "autocorrect."

    9. @Dan: Oh, I see. Sorry about that.

    10. I say deadpan from being too overly used to the usual leads' hysterics, and agreed, the stark contrast is quite welcomed. Another aspect is that she's a soothing character as well, as her voice always maintains the same soft, mild tone throughout the entire show.

    11. @Benny: I'm so glad you agree, she's a very likable girl. Also, little known bit of trivia, whenever Sakura wore this particular outfit and Kagome wore that particular sweater in their respective series, they were always barefoot. And as you can see, this image is no different.

  3. I love Rumiko Takahashi's work, it was her work and Astro Boy that got me to love anime again back in the 2010's.
