Fanart Friday: Female Byleth (Fire Emblem)
The irony that the most hated Smash newcomer ended up winning, for those not in the Smash community, the reason why Byleth was so hated was because he/she was from Fire Emblem, a franchise with way too much representation in Smash like Mario & Pokémon, also he/she is a sword fighter & Smash has too many of those. Nice, but those reasons they were mad at Byleth are both misconceptions. For one thing, Fire Emblem has just the right amount of representatives. As one of Nintendo's top IPs, it deserves all of it. And secondly, Byleth is not just a sword user. She uses four different weapon types and has a varied, unique moveset that helps make her stand out above the rest.
