Jem and the Holograms: Laura Holloway (Classic 80's cartoon)

 Laura Holloway appears only in episode 40 'Alone Again'.  After her parents died in a car crash she briefly moved into Starlight Mansion.  The emotional impact of her parents death as well as her difficulty fitting in and making friends with the other Starlight Girls leads her to become addicted to drugs.
