Haikara-San: Here Comes Miss Modern: Benio Hanamura

She's an tomboyish Japanese schoolgirl during the Taisho era (the early 1920s), she lose her mother during her childhood and was raised by her father instead, who was a high-ranking official in the Japanese army. As a result, she has grown into tomboyish stuff in contrast to traditional Japanese notions of femininity, she studies kendo, drinks sake, dresses in often outlandish-looking Western clothing instead of the traditional Japanese kimono, and isn't interested in housewife duties as she is in literature.
