Mahiru is a waitress at Wagnaria. She has a case of extreme androphobia thanks to her father conditioning her to hate all men. This sometimes ends with her instinctively hitting a guy. Unlike most anime this is treated as problem and with Souta's help she slowly overcomes this. Outside of her punching power she is quite feminine and collects hair pins.
