Blue Seed: Koume Sawaguchi
Koume is the tomboyish weapons expert of the 'Terrestrial Administration Center'. She can be hotheaded and confrontational to the point she was discharged from the 'Japan Self-Defense Force' for insubordination before joining the TAC.
It's a bit gory but mostly talking heads, think more Patlabor meets Inuyasha at the start. But becomes kinda heavy-handed and preachy towards the end with the 'humanity is impure, humanity needs to be cleansed' hippy-dippy, Tomino tier nihilism. Oh, and then there's all that corny singing. Beyond only made things more complicated, ending mostly in filler and bad plot devices straight outta of Jack Bauer 24.
I really like this 80s/90s anime. Somehow they feel more natural.
