Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~ (Power of Hope: PreCure Full Bloom): Nana Shinozaki

She's Karen's patient who got injured during track and field practice after tripping over a hurdle and severely injured her right foot, leading her to be hospitalized for a year. During her time at the hospital, she was stressed and doesn't want to be helped by Dr. Karen, where she proceeded to lash out at Karen by throwing a pillow at her. The next day, she noticed Karen trying to use a wheelchair. She was later visited by Karen again, who told her about her past as a student council president, and how she was able to overcome her struggles because she got help from her juniors. When Karen took her outside, she opened up to her about how she got her injury, and that her foot won't heal in time as she will be graduating from high school within the next year. This is from Episode 3.

    4. So nanoka~ So she's a now aged-up character from an older show.
Which begs the question, is Precure just going to keep going on and on and on until the OG girls are literal old-ass grannies?

    5. Well, I don't know they would be elderly since middle or high school aged characters are best suited for their appearance in their PreCure forms. Speaking of grannies, there's a character named Kaoruko Hanasaki in HeartCatch who was Cure Flower, she's Tsubomi's grandma and was a fighter during her youth against the Desert Apostles.

    6. Well shid, guess as far as Cure certifiability goes, age has no bearings, huh. At some point the series could end up just like JoJo, where former MCs like Nagisa or Honoka come back only to join as geriatrics to show them young'uns some that good ole moxie.

  2. I really feel for her. She could purposely flunk so she doesn't graduate on time, but that would just be ridiculous.

    1. I don't think she would since she really wishes to graduate on time despite her foot injury.
