Kieu is Ba Nee's mother who only appears in the final episode 'A Father Should Be...'. She lived in a village called An Lộc during the Vietnam war when she met an injured GI named Martin O'Carolan. The two got married and had a child named Ba Nee. Unfortunately, Martin became an amnesiac after a beating while being a P.O.W. and Kieu died without reuniting with him.
