This is the movies protagonist's unnamed mother.  She can be both stern and playfull.

Ayako is a computer programmer working at the lab where the murder occurs.  She's serious when it comes to her work, but has a very playful side.  All of the screen caps come from episode seven when Ayako takes moe to some sensory deprivation tanks.
