I don't know both figure models of her chose to give her a catgirl outfit. Maybe they are references to scenes of her from the anime or maybe the designers recognize that she just makes an adorable kitten in that getup. In any case she is really cute. :-)

I googled the definition of Gravure Idol online. Apparently it is a Japanese female model who does sexy photoshoots for magazines (often ones targeting male audiences) in attractive outfits such as swimsuits etc. I can definitely see how the name applies to this figurine set. ^_^
