Arya is probably one of the most Badass characters in Game of Thrones. While her sister Sansa was naturally good at behaving like a proper lady, Arya was more of a tomboy. She disliked dresses and preferred running around and learning how to fight over sewing.
Her father recognizes her interests and her trained in fencing. Arya skills are put to the test when an event in the first Ice and Fire book forces her to become a fugitive and flee King's Landing. She winds up joining the Society of Faceless men and serving the Faceless god becoming a deadly assassin. Arya notably keeps a list of people who wronged her and her family throughout the novels. Her skills as an assassin ensure that not a lot of people on her list make it out of the series alive
One noticeable thing about the Game of Thrones series is that Arya is shown to be barefoot a lot. Especially before going on the run. It might be a Tomboy thing... a sign of her willingness to get down and dirty.
The Tagline for the final season of Game of Thrones is "The Lone Wolf dies but the Pack Survives". It fits the Stark family in general and Arya herself in particular. ^_^
