Danielle Moonstar

Continuing with the Native American tributes this week. The next character up is Danielle Moonstar from the X-men Comic Book series.

I was first introduced when a ran a Native American poll for Thanksgiving several years back. She was one of the Write in candidates that you guys recommended. She is really cute and as the third image depicts her feet are quite talented.

Danielle was created by the X-men author Chris Claremont who help create several of the popular X-men characters (Gambit, Rogue, Psylocke, Shadowcat etc). She is a Native American mutant of Cheyanne descent who has the ability to psychically communicate with other people and animals as well as the create illusions of images within people's minds. She can use that ability to bring peoples desires or fears to live. Additionally she can channel that ability into psychic arrows stunning her enemies or forcing them to relive traumatic experiences.

She seems like a very cool character with unique abilities. :-)

X-Men (2011 Anime): Emma Frost

She's initially an enemy to the X-Men before joining forces and became one of the most loyal members of the team. She grew up in the US with her the wealthy parents, Winston and Hazel Frost; she is the second of three daughters and also had an older brother, Christian Frost. Her father, Winston, is cold, ruthless, and stoic, often imposing impossibly-high standards on his children, while her mother, Hazel, abused prescription drugs to cope with the tensions of her household. Because of that, she never receive any support from her parents due to their evil ways. Her powers are telepathy, Diamond Armor and expertise. She is also known as the White Queen and in this anime version, she started out as a psychic specter seen by Cyclops while trying to help Jean Grey in her Dark Phoenix form, which ultimately ends in Jean's death. This leads Cyclops to strongly believe Emma had something to do with Jean's death but not really. She was later trapped in stasis and after being freed by the X-Men, aiding and offering them access to her mind to clear up Cyclops' suspicions, she is offered a place on the team along with Armor and she have an much nicer and calmer personality in the anime version than her comic book counterpart. This is from Episode 4.
