We Without Wings: Akira Yoshikawa

 Akira is Kobato's best friend and classmate introduced in episode twelve.  She hangs out with Kobato and Alice in the DVD special. 

Bamboo Blade: Yoshikawa

Yoshikawa is Satori's homeroom teacher and was originally concerned about her students ability to balance school with Kendo.  She is devoted to her students and is knowledgeable about video games.  She replaces Kojiro as the Kendo club adviser after he stepped down.  In the series finale she revealed she was taking maternity leave.
