Kanade is a very traditional girl with a love of poetry. Her family runs a traditional clothing store that provide some of the uniforms for the Mizusawa Karuta club in exchange for modeling and advertising. Normally polite she can become cross if she believes someone isn't taking the poetry seriously enough. She eventually wants to become an official reader.
