Kate Spencer (Manhunter)

I've been reading the comic Superman Event Leviathan recently and the heroine Kate Spencer aka Manhunter recently resurfaced with some pretty good barefoot scenes. It seemed like a nice opportunity to do a tribute for her. ^_^

Kate Spencer is a prosecutor who wasn't happy seeing certain criminal escape Justice so she adopted the secret identity and became the heroine Manhunter to punish the guilty. As a heroine Kate is a skilled fighter and has special gadgets such as an electric staff to assist her in crime fighting. She sometimes works with the government agency the DEO (Department of Extranormal operations)

One of the Major events going on in DC Comics is Event Leviathan, a storyline that appears primarily in the Superman comic series. It involves a villainous organization Leviathan making a power play for global control of the planet. Leviathan has appeared before in the Batman comic book series but it currently has a new leader with a mysterious agenda. So far Leviathan has successfully taken out the major DC government organization including the D.E.O, A.R.G.U.S, Cadmus and Spiral. The Storyline is really exciting and I highly recommend reading it especially if you are a Superman fan. It is written by Eisner award winning writer Brian Michael Bendis. I'm excited to find out who is pulling the strings behind Leviathan. The identity of the new leader is expected to be revealed on June 12th so we'll know later this week.  O.O

Kate's role in Event Leviathan so far is that a Leviathan member impersonated her to get close to and take out the leader of the D.E.O.  (Bones). She's now wanted in connection to their crimes causing her to become a fugitive. Her atempt to escape capture lead to a barefoot fight as the MSCU (Metropolis Special Crime Unit) raided her apartment. Kate was able to grab her Manhunter outfit on her way out so we probably won't see any barefoot scenes from her this story arc unless we are really lucky. That said I'm excited to see what role she will continue to play as the story progresses.
