She and Sakura were childhood friends and she was even her bodyguard once in her life due to her long relationship with the Hoshido family and spent her childhood training by an strict regimen, one that primarily revolves around her sneakily taking part in soldier practice sessions and practicing on her own in open fields. Her attention to her harsh training is recognized by Sakura, who had remarked that she is far more devoted and disciplined than most of the enlisted soldiers were. Even before becoming Sakura's retainer, she often took it upon herself to protect her friend, a fact that saw her sustaining injuries regularly no matter how big the threat is. Despite being your typical tomboy who has a terrible sense of self-restraint, she has a thing for girly and cute things.
