Nanami is a close friend of Makoto and along with Makoto and Masamichi gets drawn into El-Hazard. She is shown to possess a very entrepreneurial spirt by selling lunches to make money.
Ryoko is one of Nanami's friends.
Rune Venus is a princess of Roshtaria and the one who sends Makoto and Fujisawa on their mission. In the Wanderers she is a love interest for Makoto and talks to a hand puppet when taking a bath.
The Termite Queen appears only in 'The Alternative World' as a shape shifting insectoid leader of intelligent termites. She tricks people into becoming a food source for her colony.

ReplyDeleteLoosely, the teacher, Mr. Fujisawa, taught at the same school that Tenchi attended in Tenchi in Tokyo.
DeleteIt's not well known if the series, as well as Dual and Photon, all share the exact same universe, like CLAMP stuff does, but they have been known to trade characters and similar plot devices back and forth.
