Last year was a big year for Lois. Her and Superman celebrated 80 years in comics. This month marks year 81. Let's do comic mega-set for her in honor of that. :-)
Classic Lois
Lois starred in her own series between 1954 and 1978. It is well drawn and there are some nice barefoot moments in it. ^_^
I managed to get ahold of the entire series so there should be some extended sets for the silver age version of Lois in the future. Enjoy these teaser caps for now though. ^_^
All Star Superman
All Star Superman is a 12 issue series by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Frank Quitely. It is very well written and explores the Superman character really well.
The series gives a good amount of Lois and we get some good barefoot scenes when she visits Superman's home the Fortress of solitude. She winds up getting exposed to chemicals that make her paronoid for a bit.
The storyline also has Superman give Lois a special formula that temporarily grants her Superpowers for her birthday. ^_^
This comic book series was adapted into an animated movie which I capped here.
Flight
I think I mentioned this in other tributes to this character. A popular motif in the Superman comics was having him fly with Lois. :-)
These scenes actually turns out to be a good opportunities to see her feet because her shoes often fall off her feet mid-flight. The shoe drop is a clever visual effect which highlights how high up they are to readers so its done pretty frequently. :-)
Occasionally Lois would take off her shoes in advance to prepare for a flight as she does in Superman Returns.
80's, 90's and 00's Lois
If you read the above panel. It shows how busy a reporter's life could be. She probably would be really appreciative of a foot massage. ^_^
The above mentioned "shoe drop".
Current Storylines
This sexy view of Lois is from the Story Arc "Heroes in Crisis"
I mentioned the Superman Leviathan Rising storyline arc during the Manhunter post. It is one of the current major story arcs going on in DC comics this summer. The bulk of it takes place in action comics and its been real exciting so far.
We've been getting some great scenes of Lois in that story arc as she usually meets with Superman in her home or hotel rooms.
The current comics have her married to Superman with a child. She's been doing some under cover investigative reporting recently causing her to meet withe Superman incognito.
(A various mix of Lois comic among are All Star Superman, Leviathan Rising which includes issues 1000-1011 of Action Comics and a Leviathan Rising Special, the Classic Lois Lane Comic Book Series and Heroes in Crisis Issue 4)
Lois has had quite a few tributes here in the past... All of them can be found using the Lois Lane Label here: http://animefeet.blogspot.com/search/label/Lois%20Lane
I'm following Leviathan Rising and Action Comics really closely and I'll definitely post more of Lois scenes if I see them. Between that and the classic images of her, it is a safe bet that you'll see this character again in the future. ^_^
That all for now guys. As always though... more to come soon. :-)
Up Up and Away!

I been enjoying DC again ever since they did their Rebirth phase.
ReplyDeleteYes. ^_^ They're really doing a great job. ^_^
DeleteShe should try short hair more often
ReplyDeleteYeah she looks good with short hair. ^_^
DeleteWhich version/versions of Lois are your favorites?
ReplyDeleteMine are All-Star,DCAU, and Erica Durance from Smallville.
O.O That's a tough choice. I think my favorite is Teri Hatcher from Lois and Clark and Margot Kidder from the Superman films but all the actresses who have portrayed Lois have done a pretty good job. I like DCAU Lois and All Star Superman Lois too.
