Custom's Picks: Music Girls (Film)

Another one from Custom's Picks: This is on an short film from 2015. While the 2018 anime is about a girl named Hanako Yamadaki, who came back to Japan from America after admiring the Music Girls, an obscure eleven member idol unit she discovered performing at the airport after arrival. The Music Girls' manager, Ikehashi, takes a shot on Hanako during open auditions hoping that a new member would help revitalize the band to it former glory. Unfortunately for Ikehashi, while Hanako is good at dancing, she's not good at singing. Instead, Hanako becomes the secretary for the Music Girls, helping them solve various problems behind the scenes. This short kind of reminds me on Carole and Tuesday due to the whole musical duo thing while the two main girls getting to know each other. In this short, an girl named Eri Kumagai, who likes the indoors, met a enthusiastic transfer student named Haru Chitose. Eri used to love to sing and Haru loves Eri's singing. The story follows the two girls during one summer of their high school life as their love for music sometimes passes by each other.
