Devilman Crybaby: Miki Makimura
Miki Makimura is an ordinary high school student who lives with her parents, Kozo and Akiko, her younger brother Tare, and Akira Fudo, the son of a family friend who moves in with them after his parents leave the country. She and Akira develop a close friendship with heavy romantic undertones, especially after Akira's change into Devilman, but are never able to progress their relationship beyond this level. As the state of the world grows bleaker and bleaker, Miki becomes the one ray of hope that motivates Akira in his battle against the demons. Unfortunately, Miki is savagely murdered by a group of humans out for demon blood, and Akira's faith in humanity dies with her. This anime is a Netflix original.

ReplyDeleteShe looks entirely different than she used to. Looks like her fate is still the same though not sure if the pike is still in the series where they carry her body parts around.. Not sure how I feel about the style of this Devilman. It's so different from Go Nagai's style that it's polarizing. She does get reincarnated in Violence Jack, the sequel to Devilman..but she has no arms or legs and has the mind of a dog.........

DeleteSadly, yes. Go Nagai is a wonderful artist, has some great stories, and some great battles. Though he also has a lot of weird designs, plots, and things going on in those stories.
