KPop Demon Hunters: Rumi Kang
Rumi Kang is the main protagonist of KPop Demon Hunters. She is the leader and main vocalist of HUNTR/X, a K-pop girl group that also operates as a trio of demon hunters. I’m no contrarian by any means but I’m just gonna flat out say it, this film is overrated. Everyone keeps gushing & gushing about this movie & I’m sorry, I just think it’s mid at best. And yes, this is the only barefoot scene in the movie. Maybe they’ll go to the beach in the sequel which I’m pretty sure they’re making at this point.

I never did like the movie's fast humor because it was too distracting and annoying, and I was fine with the K-Pop music and action. This whole film felt like Totally Spies with a musical theme to it along with demon slaying.
ReplyDeleteI totally disagree with you. I love this movie.
ReplyDeleteMore power to you, I didn't like the movie all that much.
DeleteMaybe you’ll soften up to it as time goes on, it goes down as a modern classic and becomes the next Frozen.
DeleteNever got this sudden universal appeal of K-pop or the whole Korean craze tbh. Just feels like more corporate/establishment approved cheese, probably being foisted to deter interest in Jap media.
ReplyDeleteEven the instantaneous popularity of Solo Leveling on 4cucks /a/ appeared like Sony style astroturfing.
I don't know but I got into K-Pop or Korean stuff during middle and high school in the mid to late-2000s with games like DJMAX and there's aren't' many aeni (South Korean animated shows and movies) I can remember at all other than The Haunted House. I didn't care for Solo Leveling but enjoyed Squid Game.
DeleteWell, for one, notice how Korean shit's rising while Japanese shit's gettin' the axe? Almost as if all recent censorship measures taken, the Texas bill, Visa and MasterCard payment processors on websites, Steam pulling games, Amazon pulling series like No Game No Life, etc, were tailor made to target mostly otaku shit. You know it's bad when the creator of Love Hina actually has to get involved on the political level just to address the issue.
DeleteNot bad for one CGI scene.
ReplyDeleteTo me, they're average looking.
DeleteWish we could have seen the soles.
ReplyDeleteNot that every female character can show soles.
DeleteI’d figured.
DeleteDo you love soles that much?
DeleteHonestly yeah. They’re the best part
DeleteFor tickling, smelling and rubbing?
DeleteRubbing, smelling, and (dare I say it) licking
