Dog & Scissors: Kirihime Natsuno (Shinobu Akiyama)

 Kirihime is a scissors wielding novelist who writes under the pen name of Shinobu Akiyama.   She became upset after learning Kazuhito died protecting her while she was distracted writing one of her books.  She adopted Dog Kazuhito from a pet store and found that she can read his thoughts.  She can be aloof, but is very dedicated to her readers.
