Nagasarete Airantou: Chikage

Ok the last Nagasarete Airantou tribute is to a cute glasses wearing intelligent girl named Chikage. :-)

(With the exception of the last webfind these are a combination of caps from episodes 8, 17, 19 and 24. Once again a Tremendous  Thank You to Why_Zee_Ex for sending in the caps for and organizing this series of tributes)

Why Zee Ex Commentary:

Chikage is a weird, bookwormish type who has strange interests. She's got this creepy cheshire cat smile and isn't as interested in Ikuto as a love interest as much as a test subject. In Episode 8, she is seen dressing up in fetish outfits to attempt to please him.

Another additional bit of trivia is that Chikage is cousins with Mikoto and Shinobu. As such she has a limited amount of Ninja skills. Her specialty though is intelligence. Due to her love of reading...she really knows a lot. ^_^

Ok guys this brings us to about the halfway point of the month. I'm hanging in there and still determined to post an entry every day. 14 tributes left to go. On that note...more to come soon. :-)

Nagasarete Airantou: Shinobu

Continuing with the Nagasarete Airantou tributes, the next girl up is Mikoto's older sister Shinobu. :-)

Why Zee Ex Commentary:

Shinobu is more of a swordsman (swordswoman? swordsperson?) than a kunoichi, despite being in Mikoto's ninja family. She's not very good at it, and is rather clumsy. She can trip over nothing and like Suzu is rather inexperienced with men. She's introduced near the end, a crazy 6 episodes before the finale. She develops a "crush" on Ikuto, but doesn't realize what it means. Shinobu is pretty hot, just saying.

Some additional trivia involving Shinobu is that her Ninja abilities allow her to create Naruto like shadow clones of herself. She's not as skilled at that technique as he is though. She's also resistant to poisons thanks to her mother poisoning her food regularly to build up her immunity. She really seems like a fun character. :-)

Nagasarete Airantou: Mei Mei

Ok...The next Nagasarete Airantou girl up is Mei Mei. A cute Chinese performer. ^_^

(A couple of webfinds but the caps are from episodes 14 and 20. Once again a Massive Thank you to Why_Zee_Ex for sending in the material for this tribute.)

Why_Zee_Ex Commentary:

Mei Mei is a cute character who is introduced at the beginning of the second half. She is an outsider like Ikuto and was pulled to the island like him during a storm. She is incredibly shy and has very little experience dealing with people. She wears odd costumes to disguise and hide herself. She is funny to watch and will quickly become your favorite character if you're not careful.

An interesting bit of added trivia about Mei Mei is that she has the most siblings out of anyone in the series. She has 17 older brothers and 5 older sisters. As a performer Mei Mei is really flexible and good at designing costumes. She loves reading romance novels. :-)
