Custom's Picks: The Wonderland

This movie is based on an children's book called "Strange Journey from the Basement" by Sachiko Kashiwaba, it's about Akane who was having a birthday coming up and she was asked by her mother to recieve the gift that Aunt Chi held in her shop. Akane and Chi were met with a strange alchemist named Hippocrates and his apprentice Pipo appear, calling Akane the legendary "Goddess of the Green Wind." after Akane put her left hand to a mysterious slab with a hand-shaped cavity on it. The two girls discovered that there was a different world connected to the shop's basement. With the fantasy world in danger, Hippocrates and Pipo seek the help of the only one capable of saving it from destruction is none other than Akane herself. With no other choice but to forcefully accept the offer, Akane and Chi travel to the fantasy world in order to restore it from its doom. Also, this anime movie is the last one in the Heisei era due to the 2019 Japanese imperial transition occurred 5 days later which brings the Heisei era of Japan to an close and the beginning of the current Reiwa era.
