Zig & Sharko: Marina

In this French animated cartoon Marina, the mermaid, lives at the bottom of the ocean but spends most of her time on a rock near the paradise island where Zig lives. She likes to play volleyball and ping pong with Sharko. And unfortunately for locals, like any self-respecting mermaid she loves to sing ... but she sings poorly! She is the most beautiful creature in the sea, and the octopus masseur or lobster hairdresser maintain her beauty. She has many admirers from King Neptune to a gigantic manta ray...as for Zig, she is far from suspecting that he is after her.

In this episode “Fancy Footwork” Marina wants legs more than anything and one night her wish is granted by a Good Fairy. But soon Marina realizes that her dream is more of a nightmare! She can’t walk properly, can’t swim anymore, etc. If only things could be like they were before!"

  1. Anyone noticed that American's lately try to replace ginger characters with other types of people, while Europe seems to be okay with having gingers in a main role?

    1. Dunno, there's the Mary-sue from Brave, but yeah, I think Disney was even trying to blackwash comic Mary Jane, after The Homecoming but I heard there was a huge fan-revolt. See, it's not like there's any actual demand for any of this, it' really more like "conditioning" until you just except the new norm.

    1. Wakfu is really great. There is also the Comic FRNK, that has some barefooted cave girls in the story.

  4. Such cute wiggly toes! I just wish we could've seen the bottom of her foot while she was doing that.
