This Needs To Stop

I am so tired and so sick of seeing this F**KING BOT. Every single day, every single post it’s always “Magnificent” and I was able to ignore it for a while but now he’s just spamming it 3 to 4 times per post and I have had my fill of it. King, Match whoever’s in charge please do something about this.

  1. At least this isn't you getting angry over M&M politics. But really, I wonder what is up with this bot, like why does it type what it types and who is behind it?

    1. Is this the bot you were talking about?

    2. Well duh. It's like you cannot go a single second without asking a question, regardless if it's obvious or not.

    4. Like he's bothering me? Yeah I find Custom obnoxious.

    5. @jarjar: C'mon, that was not called for. Custom is very sensitive if there's a derogatory comment towards him. And if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have a good majority of these great posts here.

    6. He never listens to anything I try to tell him.

    7. He also did last month a post which came off as disrespectful to someone who died recently.

    8. Yet he has nothing to do with the post. Don't be doin' this sorority bitch tier drama, c'mon...

    9. It's just in GENERAL, he is a very prominent figure on this blog and he posts and comments a lot, its hard to ignore him, especially with all the foot festival/question posts.

  3. There really isn't any way they can stop it. They told me so before. Believe me, they would if they could. It's like trying to block a specific blogger or bloggers from making derogatory comments. It just can't be done.

    1. Sounds to me, we're going to deal with this for the rest of this blog until it gets shuttered.

    2. Hey, I remember you fellas manually vetted comments before approving them a while back which I thought was a really bad idea, just a shot in the dark, since this is a Goolag platform(explaining why it's so shit at catching bots), maybe retrace your bot filtering settings in Google Analytics to check if there's ways to deal with proxies or ip hopping. And perhaps introduce another verification process, considering how shit reCAPTCHA seems to be for this particular bot. Honestly not too keen on either of these suggestions but just utilize any tool at your disposal, that are least inconveniencing to bloggers of course.

As much as I'm opposed to censorship in any form, unless it concerns illicit behavior, take it you can't just temporarily filter out specific words and terms like on a board or forum, huh.

  5. Ah, yes. The magnificent AutoBOT. Seems like a proxy that's gone wild. Can't you lock down the IP address or something?

  6. You could ban the bot. That could solve anything.
