Ranma ½ Fanart: The Tendo Sisters

Today, I present a wonderful image I requested from Kacique. Akane, Nabiki, and Kasumi Tendo, barefoot and waving in the Tendo Dojo for all their many fans. This is also a nod to the new Ranma ½ remake, currently airing in Japan and on Netflix. These three sisters are awesome, and undoubtedly some of my all-time favorite anime characters. I'll share my individual thoughts on each of them.

Akane is 16, the youngest sister, Ranma's fiancé, and the most important and significant of the three sisters story-wise. She's a tomboy with a short fiery temper, but as long as you're nice to her and treat her with respect, you're fine. Despite Ranma's claims, she's a very pretty young lady. She normally wore that jacket and sweater with a short blue skirt and light yellow tights, but she looks much cooler in blue jeans and bare feet. Akane already goes barefoot quite often in her martial arts gi, so there's absolutely nothing wrong with her in bare feet here either. As long as she's comfortable, that's all that matters.

Nabiki is 17, the middle sister, and a schemer and money lover. Even though she commonly exploits Ranma and others to make a quick buck, she's still a good person, and she really does love and respect her family. Nabiki's shirt is so pretty, and the colors and design really stand out. A very nice contrast with her cool pants, which compliment her mid-range boyish/girly style. Nabiki normally wears yellow socks with this particular outfit of hers, but she has no problem with taking them off and rockin' those cool bare feet of hers.

Kasumi is 19, the oldest sister, the technical family matriarch and housekeeper, and undoubtedly one of the nicest kind-hearted girls on the planet. Clearly the most feminine, level-headed, and wisest of the three sisters. Due to her motherly nature and handling all the cooking, Kasumi often dresses frumpy, usually sporting an apron over her dresses. But being 19, she is stunningly beautiful, and easily attracts a lot of attention when wearing a bikini on the beach. In these images, Kasumi is portrayed not as frumpy, but as a beautiful young lady like she should be. She wore this purple and yellow dress in the OVA at their Christmas party. Kasumi wears stockings 99% of the time, but she looks much prettier without them, or her apron here. Her bare feet are especially pretty, and she definitely doesn't mind showing them off.
