I wanted to try and do a couple of Halloween related posts. ^_^ Here is a tribute to Death of the Endless, the cute personification of Death from the Sandman comic series.

This version of Death's creator Neil Gaiman described the character as a play against a lot of the stereotypes Death is normally associated with. Instead of a grim portrayal, this version of Death is happy, friendly, and caring. Gaiman described her as the the type of Death he would like to meet.
I think that he did a great job with the character providing her with a entertaining personality. It's fun to imagine a hot goth girl waiting for you at the end of a long journey. I think that a lot of people would be comforted to have her guide them into the next world. :-D If I did meet her I suspect that I know what my last request would be. :-)

I can't tell you how much I love this post. XD Death is my favorite character in Sandman, and my favorite version of a "death personified" character. Here's hoping Gaiman's idea for a Death movie could still come true. :)
