Macross Zero: Sara Nome
The Head Priestess of Mayan Island, also called "The Hand Guided By The Wind" and the older sister to Mao Nome. She harbors an intense distrust of outsiders and technology, but is a very caring person who only wants the best for the island and her people living in it. She felt in love with Shin Kudo, the main protagonist of the prequel after meeting him. She has the mystical power of interacting with the island's mysterious alien ruins, an unknown ability that she manifests through singing an ancient Mayan chant which lead to her being merged inside the bird human.
