Squid Girl, Season 1: Nagisa Saito
Nagisa Saito is a surfer girl who works at the Lemon Beach House. She takes Ika's threat to take over the surface world seriously, and much to the delight of squid girl, is the only one who seems to be afraid of her.
Through out the entire series she never grew to like Squidgirl.
But I guess that's one of the notable flaws in slice of life, there's character development, but it regresses after an episode/chapter of a certain character, if that makes sense.
