Lois Lane Super Tribute Part 3: Superman Movies Margot Kidder

Ok continuing with the Lois Tributes here a tribute to Margot Kidder who played Lois in the Superman Movies.
I have no idea what he is doing. ^_^;
(Various webfinds of Margot and her alter ego collected from across the web)

Margot Kidder's depiction of Lois was my first exposure to the character and in my mind she sets the bar on  what Lois should be like. Kidder's Lois added such sassiness and spunkiness to the character that she made every scene she was in really enjoyable. If you think about it the plot of Superman: The Movie pretty simple in design. It's basically tells the origin story of Superman (which practically everyone knows already) so the film has the potential to be really dry. However, instead of flopping the film is considered one of the classics earning 3 academy awards and making it onto several American Film Institute lists. Sure the film had state of the art special effects but a huge part of what made the film such a success is the acting. Christopher Reeves (Superman), Gene Hackman (Lex Luthor) and Margot Kidder all did amazing jobs bringing their comic book characters to life. In addition to that the entire film series has a really spectacular soundtrack. ^_^ When Kidder auditioned for the part. She went up against 100 other actresses including some big Hollywood names at the time. The film's producers definitely made the right call picking her. I can't picture the films without here her. :-)

I don't really have much else to say. I definitely recommend watching the Superman movies though. All of them are classics. ^_^

Ok more Lois still to come.

Up Up and Away!
