Progression with Anime

It's Custom, listen, I just want to know how you progress through anime: depending on how you watch anime or have a busy schedule or to get through laziness, what is your way of watching anime: weekly new episodes, marathon an whole series after it was completely finished or both options?

      Because sometimes I watch an anime straight through but there are some ongoing animes that I watch week to week.

    Mainly on DVD or VHS. On TV, they tend to edit or cut parts of the episodes or movies. Not to mention the opening and ending themes. The most recent one on TV I watched was the two FLCL series shown this past year.
