I love Donkey Kong Country back in the day as well as its Game Boy Spin offs Donkey Kong Land. At the time the graphics in the game were high tech and they still hold up pretty well even today.
Dixie Kong was added in the Donkey Kong Country's sequel...Donkey Kong Country 2 Diddy Kong's quest. She is the lead character in the follow up game Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie's double trouble. Gamers know that Dixie Kong is an extremely useful character. She's probably the most useful member of the Kong family. She can rotate her pony tail like a helicopter allowing her to glide and reach areas that other characters could not.
I actually remember a commercials for one of her games that had Dixie painting her toenail. I was searching for it to post it here but I couldn't find it. Hopefully it will turn up someday.
